Days 2 - 6

Diving at Aliwal Shoal and Protea Banks.

For the next three days we will do two dives per day two of which will be at Protea Banks, home to the Tiger, Zambezi, Hammerhead and Ragged Toothed Sharks. There is also an abundance of game fish resident in this area, it is not a dive for the faint hearted. We will do 8 dives at Aliwal Shoal, home to the Ragged Toothed Sharks in their breeding season from July to December. These sites also include many corals, tropical fish and 2 interesting wrecks as well as an abundance of Rays and Moray Eels. There are also many interesting species for the macro photographer. Sharks like the Great White, Tiger and Zambezi, though rarely, are seen occasionally. Dolphins, Humpback Whales and Manta rays are not unusual.

Day 7

Kosi Bay via the Reserve.

Early departure from Umkomaas and drive to Kosi Bay via the Game Reserves of Umfolosi and Hluhluwe where it is possible to see the big 5. Overnight in Kosi Bay at Lala Lapa or Kosi Bay Lodge.

Day 8

Explore the Kosi Bay area and transfer to Ponto do Ouro in Mozambique where we will stay in the Dive Concession in reed rooms on the beach. Brunch and dinner are included.
