As with the remainder of the holiday, your guide will be with you to provide transport in the afternoons and evenings as well as accompanying you on the dives. Breakfasts are included throughout, all other meals will be taken at one of the wide variety of restaurants or pubs.
Days 2 - 6
After Breakfast we will transfer to the Dive Center, assemble our gear, load the boat and do two dives daily. (Total 10 dives) Dive sites are many and varied with wrecks, reefs, kelp forests and seal colonies to choose from. After diving we will return to the Dive Center and rinse our gear before finding somewhere to have lunch, after which we will visit some of the places of interest in the Cape. Over the 5 days we should cover Cape Point, The Cape of Good Hope, the part of Chapmen’s Peak opened since the rock fall, Hout Bay, the City Center, Table Mountain, the Water Front and the Two Oceans Aquarium. In the event of bad weather there will be an option to dive in the Shark or Kelp Tanks at the Aquarium.
We will depart Cape Town after breakfast and head east to Mossel Bay via the Cape Wine lands where there will be an opportunity to sample the local produce. Lunch will be en-route and once we have settled in to our Holiday Flat overlooking the sea in Mossel Bay we will have the opportunity to meet the cage diving operator for dinner, a few drinks and to swap a story or two.
Days 8 -10
Following breakfast we will spend the days at sea on the yacht “Infante” observing the awesome Great White Shark both from on deck and within the cage. This apex predator is, like the lion on land, something a person should see at least once in a lifetime. They have such a beauty and grace that nervousness is soon overcome by fascination and respect for these amazing animals. Lunch and refreshments are supplied on board.
We bid farewell to Mossel Bay and the Sharks after a relaxing breakfast and head back to Cape Town using one of the alternative routes. (Via the Small Karoo or Cape Agullas) Drop off is at Cape Town International Airport.
